{About Me}

I am a Nebraska-born woman, who moved to Minnesota for graduate school and I never left.  During that time, I met an amazing guy, Mark.  And to quote one of my favorite authors, "Reader, I married him."

Together we have forged a life for ourselves in the rough and rustic Western suburbs of Minneapolis. (Ha ha.)  In December 2011 we added the newest member of our little family, a darling little girl, Charlotte, who has turned our world upside-down. (In a good way.)

I love to read, sew, cook, and create. Spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys and they often reap the benefits of my creativity. For my day job, I work at an incredible church St. Philip the Deacon where I serve as Pastoral Associate for Middle School Ministry.  One of my greatest joys in minstry is working with young women and exploring their creativity which lead me to create The Soul Sisterhood Retreat, a camp for middle school girls to create, cook, sew, craft, and deepen their relationship with God.  I am devoted to my book club, a group of 11 fantastic women all involved in ministry in some way.

My perfect day would include some time working on a quilt, meeting a friend for a white chocolate mocha, cuddling with my baby, eating a delicious home-cooked meal with my husband, and losing myself in quality historical fiction before bed.

I hope you enjoy this glimpse into my homemade life.  It's always a work in progress!
